Madulsima
Plantations consist of two clusters of 12 tea estates, covering
7000 hectares. Three of these estates (Kew, Kirkoswald and Theresia)
have ISO 9001:2000 certification. These estates are located
in two of Sri Lanka's most sought-after tea-growing locations.
One cluster is situated in the world-renowned Uva region which
is famous for its distinct, highly-desired Seasonal Flavoury
Teas. The other cluster is located in the Bogawantalawa District,
one of Sri Lanka's hydro-catchment areas, and in close proximity
to the revered Adam's Peak mountain. This cluster produces tea
that is typical of the Western High Grown region of Sri Lanka,
recognized for its quality teas.
